WHAT TO EXPECT
Regular maintenance of your hearing technology from our staff is beneficial to ensure your hearing aids are working best for you. All pricing information for the services below will be disclosed at the time of scheduling or prior to a specific service.
hearing aid reprogramming
Hearing aids can be readjusted by your audiologist, especially if you notice a change in hearing or do not perceive as much benefit as you initially did with your hearing technology.
six month cleanings and hearing aid check-ups
We recommend you come in every six months for a "clean and check" appointment, which entails:
-
Complete cleaning of hearing aid shell and exterior
-
Replacement of wax or microphone filters
-
Vacuuming out microphones and shell
-
Replacement of domes and/or tubing
-
Desiccating hearing aids and/or ear molds
hearing aid troubleshooting
For some reason if your hearing technology is not working, then we can troubleshoot the issue in house. This can include issues such as:
-
Limited or no sound
-
Static/sound distortion
-
Short battery life or inability to charge batteries
-
Broken pieces of the hearing aids (i.e. speaker, shell, domes, tubing, or earmold)
-
Hearing aid discomfort issues
-
Connectivity issues between hearing aids and cell phone or other accessories
If the issue cannot be resolved in the clinic, the hearing aids will be sent in for manufacturer repair or replacement.
loaners
If your hearing technology purchased through Hear and There is sent out for manufacturer repair, loaner hearing technology is available until your hearing technology returns. Please let your provider know you are interested in loaners when scheduling or at the time of your appointment.
